Defying Gravity
Reclaiming Power, Purpose, and Possibility in Midlife

Defying Gravity is a space created for Black women who are ready to rise—emotionally, spiritually, and personally—into the next chapter of their lives.

This is a community for women who have carried much, achieved much, and are now choosing expansion over exhaustion, truth over expectation, and freedom over gravity.
What is Defying Gravity
Defying Gravity is a facilitated, culturally responsive offering designed specifically for Black women in midlife who are navigating transition, reinvention, and self-reclamation.

Supportive group spaces, blogs, and other resources are designed to :
-
Release emotional weight
-
Reclaim inner authority
-
Expand into clarity, confidence, and connection
-
This is not about fixing what’s broken.
-
It is about remembering what’s possible.
-
Two Ways to Rise

Defying Gravity is for Black women who:
-
Are in midlife (40s, 50s, 60s+) and evolving
-
Feel ready for “what’s next,” even if it’s not yet clear
-
Want depth without pressure
-
Value community without comparison
-
Are seeking expansion—not hustle or self-improvement culture
🌿 Defying Gravity Group
A live, facilitated support group experience

This offering centers emotional support, shared wisdom, and intentional connection. Groups explore themes such as:
-
Identity and self-definition
-
Boundaries and self-trust
-
Grief, change, and letting go
-
Joy, rest, and renewal
-
Midlife reinvention
-
Small groups. Thoughtful pacing. A space where every voice matters.
Flourish Group
A guided book circle for reflection, expansion, and sisterhood

The Healing Book Circle uses books as portals, not assignments.
Together, we explore selected readings by Black women and aligned thought leaders that invite insight, healing, and growth. Sessions emphasize:
-
Short, meaningful excerpts
-
Gentle reflection
-
Community dialogue
-
Personal integration
-
You do not need to finish a book to belong here.
-
You only need curiosity and openness.
